JOB OPPORTUNITY AT UCL CANCER INSTITUTE AND UCL/KCL CANCER IMAGING CENTRE:
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to become
involved in developing and applying novel machine learning methods for the
integrative analysis of high-dimensional gene expression and
protein-interaction data with low-dimensional cancer imaging data. The
ultimate goal will be to use imaging traits in combination with molecular
profiles to identify imaging features which may be used to improve
prediction of prognosis or response to drug therapy.
The post is initially funded for 1 year with a possible extension to 3
years. It is a CRUK/EPSRC funded position.
The successful candidate must have or be in the process of submitting a PhD
in a relevant mathematical/computational discipline (Computational Biology
/ Biostatistics / Bioinformatics / Physics / Engineering / Mathematics /
Computer Science). The candidate must possess research experience in
computational biology /statistical cancer genomics/or a relevant
mathematical discipline. Experience publishing papers in major scientific
journals and programming in R / C / Java / Phython / Perl / Linux / Mac
OSX, is essential.
