Hi Marie
I looked at this last year but from an lgbt perspective, and our purchasing
manager advised that potential suppliers are sent a race relations
questionnaire and are also asked for their EO policies, those who don't
supply/complete the information aren't taken any further through the process.
I got the impression that this was standard practice for purchasing
consortium members? However, our purchasing manager here is Kathy Preece who
would be able to provide you with more details. [log in to unmask]
Kind regards
Alison

Subject: Procurement
Hi all:
I'm working with our procurement people reviewing the issue of equality
and diversity, procurement and tendering. Wondering if anyone is
willing to share info with regard to their tendering process and how
equality and diversity is taken into consideration on goods, services,
work. Anything would be appreciated including policies, scoring
process, what role you play in the process, etc.,
If you don't have the info at hand but are willing to pass on my contact
info to someone in procurement who might be willing to talk to me that
would be great as well.
Thanks
Marie
