Actually I know a group of choristers whose vicar has abolished all choral
services - they're not very happy.
We don't have problems with the same kind puritans as Tomkins, of late the
fanatics are emissaries of dumb-down culture. I'm giving up the ghost with
the local poetry scene here. What really frightened me though was seeing a

> This work was a test piece for the International string Quartet competition

> It was inspired by a keyboard piece of the same name, A Sad Paven for these
> Distracted Tymes by Thomas Tomkins (1572-1656). Tomkins had a long

> At the same time, he was organist of the Chapel Royal.
