-V is verbose for diagnostic messages
-v for variance smoothing

Betreff: [FSL] Randomise -V option
FSL group,
I had a quick question pertaining to the randomise -V option. In the VBM
toolpack they show example scipts to run randomise:
http://www.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/fslvbm/index.html
randomise -i GM_mod_merg_s3 -m GM_mask -o fslvbm -d design.mat -t design.con
-T -n 5000 -V
randomise -i GM_mod_merg_s3 -m GM_mask -o fslvbm -d design.mat -t design.con
-c 2.3 -n 5000 -V
My question is that when I do randomise help to get a list of the commands,
there is no -V, only -v. Assuming that randomise is cap sensitive (since
there is a -C and -c command) my question is what does -V do? Is this just
code from an older version of randomise that was mistakenly left in? Is it
indeed the same as -v which signifies variance smoothing (std is in mm). If
it is the same as -v then shouldnt there be a paramenter entered in, such as
-v 3 to match the gaussian smoothed image that is selected?
Thanks,
Ajay Kurani
