It seems to me that as there are now a plethora of lists on e-mail that we have to apply some quite stringent rules to these lists otherwise they will just get inundated with stuff which does not really apply to that list. Britarch's aim is a forum for debate about archaeological matters. It is not a forum for a slanging match between 'colleagues' or a forum for non-intellectual pursuits as has been the case recently. If Caryn wishes to highlight books from West Coast on this list then perhaps she should gear her e-mails to a relevant subject being discussed at the time. Marcus, perhaps more advertising of the BRITARCH-NEWS list would help to avert posts to the main list.
