A few years ago Blackpool Libraries produced an extensive list called:
"A selection of gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender material
available in Blackpool Libraries"

There was also the Big Gay Read in 2005, organized by Queer Up North.
The titles listed were:

Hello all

Can anyone help us with a list of recommended reading about and for gay 
men?  We are struggling to purchase such stock for  a
public library audience and would welcome information from anyone
regarding 
any websites that may help, or recommended reading lists that your 
authorities have put together for this audience.
