Regarding the level of competence of the various staff
How can you have a 4 rating for risk assessment for a technical director level
when the data / methodology from the site investigation is given a level 3?
rubbish data in = bigger rubbish data out? surely you need to be an expert at
both?
it’s funny how we will calculate a GAC to point one of a decimal potentially
based on inferior / inaccurate data
typical of academia where very few experts have even stood in a field let
alone considered how the samples are being collected?
Surely this needs to be addressed?
I would go as far as saying site investigation is the key to any land
assessment - hence I’d even go as far as saying the technicians should be
expert! lets face it in the 'blue chip' consultancies its those lower ranks who
get shipped out to the field...
my other query is how much could be removed if your organisation is already
ISO accredited, Constructionline, CHAS etc? we have spent thousands getting
this and would hate to do the same over again
Quite happy to give it a try however.
