Hi all,
One of my clients has come across a very specific bug and I am a) looking for a bit of help b) posting this to alert others to this.
My client uses Dragon and also Dwell Clicker Software with a head mouse. He (wants to) play 'Football Manager' - a PC based game. He reported to me that he was not able to click into Football Manager using Dragon, or his Dwell Click software. When I tested this, I found the same - although, occasionally and sporadically, a click would work. All the drag-clicking software I tested had the same bug.
I managed to fix this with a small macro in AutoHotKey [1] to essentially swap the clicking method.
This is the AHK description of the different methods: http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/commands/SendMode.htm - Football manager works with EVENT, not INPUT methods. I'm not entirely sure about the difference between methods though.
1) Anyone come across this before? Are there any other fixes?
2) I now need to work out how to let him drag - any ideas on how to change the macro to do this (being lazy in asking before I try and experiment with getting it to work!).
(sorry for cross posting, I've had no joy elsewhere)
Cheers,
Simon
