I had to report a problem to Welsh Water earlier this year, and a few
weeks later got a customer satisfaction call. After the usual 'How
satisfied were you with the service' questions, there were a few
personal questions.
'What is your occupation?'
'I'm an archivist'
After a fairly lengthy pause, the rather puzzled voice replied
'An alchemist?'
Ah, if only!
