you raised very important issues. to clarify the nned and use:
we are working on a large-scale Comenius project that will use music to teach languages. One outcome will be e-portfolios.
However, we havent finalised the definition and use yet, as the first disucssion is today in germany - I am not participating because my role in this project is the design (not development) of the workshops and courses > http://e-learning.primarymusic.gr/
Because the participants havent used any VLE I thought it would be good to initially use both Moodle and an integrated portfolio.
