An independent production company are looking for a historian to talk on banks and art collecting for a radio
programme. Further details below; please contact Henrietta Harrison if you think you fit the bill.
As promised an outline on the documentary '˜Open the Vaults' a half hour look at the history of banks as patrons of
art as the Royal Bank of Scotland agree to display their collection.
The documentary is presented by BBC arts correspondent Razia Iqbal and scheduled for broadcast on December 10th at
1130am on BBC Radio Four. As with most mid morning documentaries we are expecting the programme to be heavily
trailed across Radio Four, the Today programme and other networks. We are speaking to artists, RBS, National
Galleries Scotland, Deutsche Bank, art consultants and critics and we are very keen to find a historian too.
We would like the historian to take us back to when the tradition of banks collecting art first began, where the
tradition flourished, periods of time when the tradition flourished, when British banks first began as patrons, when
RBS first began collecting and characteristics and mutual benefits of the tradition. Open the Vaults is a Wise
Buddah production for BBC Radio Four and my numbers are below but you can also get me on my bbc email
