The Institute for Transport Studies (ITS), University of Leeds, has received prestigious Royal recognition for its contribution to the sector.
The Queen's Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education recognise exceptional achievement and ITS is to receive the award for "SUSTAINED EXCELLENCE - 40 YEARS' IMPACT IN TRANSPORT RESEARCH AND TEACHING."
The winners were announced yesterday at a formal reception at St James' Palace. The Prize itself will be presented to ITS by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh at an honours ceremony at Buckingham Palace in February.
