The NIfTI format uses dimensions 1, 2 and 3 for space, 4 for time and 5
for other channels of data. Deformation fields etc are written with
three volumes along the 5th dimension (typically having dimensions of
121x145x121x1x3). Multi-volume templates should also really use this
convention, but I figured that people should really be able to look at
the other volumes in the image.
