The workshop is extremely practical and will be illustrated with live
examples throughout. The following will be examined in detail:
* Setting the scene - SharePoint key concepts and functions
* The SharePoint view of information management - document vs.
record-keeping requirements
* Records management and SharePoint practicalities
* Other SharePoint functionality - collaboration, business intelligence etc
* Procurement and implementation
Throughout the workshop a number of cross-cutting themes will be covered.
These include: SharePoint’s role in effective information management, the
capabilities and deficiencies of SharePoint, and recommendations to unlock
its potential. Breakout sessions will take place to illustrate key points.
The workshop is being run by Marc Stephenson and Cerys Hearsey from
Metataxis who have considerable experience of designing, configuring and the
ongoing management of SharePoint within public sector organisations.
