National Course Reps Conference: 9th December 2009, Birmingham
This year’s National Course Reps Conference is taking place at Birmingham University Guild of Students, with sessions for staff, reps and officers. The agenda includes interactive workshops for reps on the NSS, feedback, assessment and key rep skills, and a certificate of attendance and pack for all reps that attend. It also includes sessions for staff and officers on international and postgraduate students' representation and innovation and good practice in course rep systems.

This event is £10 per person, includes lunch and refreshments and is open to all course reps studying a UK higher education course and staff and officers in unions.

Resources for your Course Reps

Get your reps campaigning on feedback
Get your reps online to view their scores for feedback from the NSS by subject area and compare them to their own results by subject area at www.unistats.com<http://www.unistats.com/>, then get them involved in this year’s feedback amnesty by suggesting that they submit the new Feedback Amnesty form to their lecturer with every assignment to ensure their lecturers know what they want from feedback, and encourage other students to do the same.

• Your reps can find out more and access the form at:
http://www.nus.org.uk/en/Student-Life/Course-Reps/Investigating-feedback-on-your-course/Take-action-on-Feedback/

 * You can download the form and the briefing at: http://www.officeronline.co.uk//education/articles/275707.aspx
