How about if we run the following two lines with the word 'unstable'
instead of 'stable':
> these artefacts are [un]stable parts of the world outside the body
> that help
> the brain build coherent predictive stories about the world
Perhaps then the way in which an artefact's (do we mean artwork
here?) reading/use/presence changes over time begins to get at what
makes art per se an enduring cultural irritant?
