Action Research Support Staff: Six posts at £24,877 - £28,839
Transition Edinburgh University - a Scottish Government Climate Challenge Fund project supported by People & Planet and the University of Edinburgh - seeks six Action Research Support Staff to develop and deliver a 'Campus Community Carbon Crash' programme to cut personal / lifestyle emissions of 37,000 students and staff at the University of Edinburgh by 10% in 2010:
1. Three x Action Research Facilitators to develop and deliver a range of practical carbon reduction projects for the University community including residences, energy saving, greener travel, food & peer-learning programmes.
2. Two x Communication, Engagement and Outreach Facilitators working with internal and external media, web, and face-to-face - to deliver an engagement strategy ensuring involvement of the whole University, and to outreach to similar organisations and surrounding communities.
3. One Project Support Facilitator to facilitate and monitor the project, develop a practical support strategy, oversee carbon foot-printing and other resources, to ensure continuity and direction, and to report progress to the Climate Challenge Fund.
The six will work collectively - supporting and supported by a large number of volunteers - in the University's Energy & Sustainability Office www.eso.ed.ac.uk.
Application deadline is noon Wednesday 18th November. Interviews will take place on Wednesday 25th & Friday 27th November in Edinburgh.
