SGAI launches ‘Real AI Day’: December 17th 2009
The British Computer Society Specialist Group on Artificial
Intelligence (SGAI) has announced the first in a new series of
one-day ‘SGAI Real Artificial Intelligence days’, with a strong
practical focus aimed at business and industry.
This is a low-cost event: the standard delegate rate is £75 (+VAT),
with a special student rate of £50 (+VAT). A discounted group rate of
£50 (+VAT) per delegate is also available for groups of three or more
delegates.
The event will feature talks from leading exponents and case studies
outlining practical applications of AI from a wide range of
application domains. There will be speakers from manufacturing,
semantic search, medical imaging, autonomous vehicles, policing,
games and simulation.
The first ‘Real AI Day’ will take place on Thursday 17th December
2009, at Peterhouse College, Cambridge. Plenty of time has been
allowed in the programme for discussion and the event will close with
a networking drinks reception.
This is an opportunity for those in business and industry to find out
what is happening in AI and for academics and students working in AI
to find out what is happening in the ‘real world’ of AI applications.
Full details can be found at www.bcs-sgai.org/realai2009. The event
will be held in conjunction with BCS SGAI's annual conference,
AI-2009.
