Thanks for this, Susan -- it looks awesome! Looks like I could use it in my class ANTH 424, "The Supernatural in the Modern World," next fall.

Subject: [ACADEMIC-STUDY-MAGIC] The Anthropology of Magic
Hi All,
I'm posting this to let you know about my new book The Anthropology of
Magic, just published by Berg. This work aims to put the experience of magic
at the forefront of academic debate and seeks a new theoretical framework
that incorporates magical knowledge as a source of knowledge. More details
can be found on the following link:
http://www.bergpublishers.com/?TabId=5271&v=1799606
I have also set up a The Anthropology of Magic Facebook discussion page
where group members can discuss the issues raised in the book.
If there is anyone on this list who would consider putting the book on their
course reading lists, or who would review it for a journal or blog, could
you please get in touch.
Please pass on the word, and join in the debate on the issues that the book
raises.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
All best wishes,
Susan
Apologies for any cross-posting
