Hello
I'm sure this is something quite common, but I'd be very grateful if
someone could let me know what it is and what it was used for?
It has a mother of pearl handle and a corkscrew shaped end. It is only
10 cm long.
Is it related in any way to a buttonhook?
Also, any guesses on rough date? Late 19th century?
