Hi,
If you have heard about SWORD (the interoperable deposit protocol for
repositories - www.swordapp.org) but don't know how you can make use
of it with your repository, or if you would like to know more about
the recent improvements to the SWORD specification, you may be
interested in the following recently published paper:
Lewis, S., Hayes, L., Newton-Wade, V., Corfield, A., Davis, R.,
Donohue, T., Wilson, S. 2009. If SWORD is the answer, what is the
question?: Use of the Simple Web-service Offering Repository Deposit
protocol. Program: electronic library and information systems. Vol 43.
Issue 4. pp: 407 – 418. http://dx.doi.org/10.1108/00330330910998057
The paper has been written by authors from New Zealand, the United
Kingdom, and the USA. It contains seven different case studies of
SWORD in use, ranging from e-thesis submission to automated data
deposits from laboratory equipment.
