Dear all
We would like to draw your attention to the "Network of Excellence for Advanced Road Traffic management in the Information Society" (NEARCTIS), whose aim it is to bring together a number of academic teams around Europe, working on traffic management and optimisation with a particular focus on cooperative systems, and to integrate their research activities. More information can be found at www.nearctis.org<http://www.nearctis.org>.
On 13 November 2009 the 2nd NEARCTIS workshop will take place in London, co-hosted by the Centre for Transport Studies of Imperial College London and the Centre for Transport Studies of University College London. The workshop will include presentations and posters from research institutions, with the objective of facilitating the exchange of ideas between institutions. The final workshop's programme can be found here<http://www.nearctis.org/index.php?eID=tx_nawsecuredl&u=0&file=uploads/media/NEARCTIS_2nd_workshop_programme_01.pdf&t=1256828974&hash=23f178bdc09152f6e15389ac1097f27d>; please note that while oral presentations slots have been fixed, the call for posters is still open and the deadline for abstract submissions, which should be sent to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>, is the 2nd November; no full papers are required.
We would like to encourage research staff and students around the UK working on traffic management and optimisation to take the opportunity and attend the workshop. A completed registration form, found here<http://www.nearctis.org/index.php?eID=tx_nawsecuredl&u=0&file=uploads/media/NEARCTIS_2nd_workshop_registration_form.doc&t=1256828974&hash=9df29ab1d1c5b0eb4a85969ff99ae32e>, should be sent to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> by the 2nd November. Please note that no attendance fees apply.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the workshop! Please do not hesitate to send us any questions that you may have to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
Best regards
Ioannis Kaparias
