We are seeking highly motivated and flexible post-docs to work in the new neuroimaging group in Parma, Italy for a minimum period of 2 years (with the possibility of extension).
This is a new research group working on a GE 3T MRI scanner. The primary goal of the group is to investigate the mirror mechanism in humans but there is also the potential for running projects in other areas such as neuroesthetics, neuroeconomics, and disorders of the nervous system. The candidates will be encouraged to actively contribute with their own ideas and proposals relating to these or other areas of research. The research is conducted at the Department of Neuroscience of the Universityof Parma (Italy). The group is lead by Professor Giacomo Rizzolatti. The neuroimaging center is also equipped with a 32 channel MRI compatible EEG system and a TMS – MRI compatible system.
Post-doc position: The candidates must have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g., Neuroscience, Computer Science, or Physics). Required skills include expertise in advanced software for behavioral and brain imaging data analysis and, possibly, in matlab programming.
Employment can begin immediately but is negotiable. Salary is dependent on experience and is based on University stipends or equivalent salary according to Italian Public service regulations.
