There is a pretty good recent British film about Cromwell and Fairfax, featuring Rupert Everett in a really superb turn (I think) as Charles I, called -- _To Kill a King_? Maybe?

Subject: Popular Film on the English 17th Century
This query may be a stretch, but I thought I'd give it a try: Is there any (any good) popular film that covers early 17th Century Britain? On the Interregnum? On Milton? Donne? A student recently asked me, and I was coming up empty. There have been some Restoration film (Johnny Depp as Rochester for example), and a decent film on Charles II, but that's not the time period I mean. Pre 1660. I believe that there is an "oldish"/1970's version of Cromwell's career, no?
