...almost there. Does this sound viable?
I have only a few more photo shoots and the basic black and white series
will be there of some 20 to 30 images. So comments, advice, on this
idea.
I have most of the Bar-B-Q poetry written now, which was to be a
multimedia script. Instead, I am now thinking of threading this verse
through a digital print on demand photo book since digital now equals
the high production values needed for photography. So one ends up with
one of those coffee table type art photography books combined with the
BBQ poetry.
For title, maybe, Bar-B-Q in large type, vision and verse under this.
I suspect the retail price maybe high for a trimmed B4 book of around 40
pages, but art books get collected.
Self publishing is out for me so will need to get in touch with some
publishers, of course. The book could combine with a local exhibition
here where I live. I am an experienced photo editor but this still needs
to be looked at by an editor and graphic designer.
Anyway, still a way to go, even with an end in sight. I do however need
to make a decision about the photo-poetry book... best Chris J
PS. I don't think this has been done before in this manner where both
the text and images go together is a sort of dialogic divergence and
attraction. Stephen V and Peter C's work led me this way, BTW.
