In my digging days I often thought that many of my colleagues worked to fund their drinking habit, and little else. Digging up the dead along with their possessions.
I now live in Southsea, Hampshire, and my favourite drinking 'haunt' is apparently haunted. Recently news has got out into the media regarding the ghost of 'Apsley House', not the one in London but the name of the pub. Apparently it is now all over the Net and tomorrow a TV crew from Croatia, of all places, are coming over to do a documentary on the pub and its ghost.
So what is special about this haunting to attract so much interest?
Well look at the first line of this email, and consider that perhaps you would not need to dig up the dead to get a drink, instead it is the dead that gives you the drink!!
So sad he'll have to go. Could have been an archaeologists happy haven!
