Iwould like invite collegues, specially from Arch Justice List, to present a paper to the Session thatMarina Diniz (Universidad de Lisboa, Portugal) and Miguel Aguilar(Universidad de los Andes, Colombia) are organizing at the TheoryArchaeological Group Meeting. The Session name is: Fair Archaeology. Building Bridges instead of deepening gaps.
TAG, which will be held atDurham University, England, from 17th to 19th December this year. More info at:http://www.dur.ac.uk/tag.2009
Nowadaysa growing group of archaeologists feel that they can use the politicalpotential of their knowledge to build a fair world. This they pursue bybreaking down traditional barriers between scientists and the public, between former colonial nations and indigenous peoples, between statesand nations, between the winners and losers of recent wars, and betweenmen and women. The full abstract of the session may be read at thesession's web page:http://www.dur.ac.uk/tag.2009/sessions.html#Fair_Archaeology.
A200 word abstract, full name and institution will be enough at first topropose a paper before Setember 30th. You might write direct to me at:[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
Please feel free for sending this email to all different lists. I would like if collegues could send this message to Archaeologist for Global Justice, and to Sheffield University lists. Thanks a lot,
Miguel A. Aguilar
