I've got a bit lost.
I can get the DNS entry changed to point to another IP addresses if
someone will tell be what that those addresses are. Apologies if that
info is on an earlier reply in this thread.
If anything is needed from the existing machines it can be copied over.
Basically the machines here are not being maintained and will at some
point be in trouble.

The whois entry for starlink.ac.uk gives no useful information.
However the entry for rl.ac.uk gives:

I imagine that contacting them, including DLG as the presumed initial
contact for starlink.ac.uk, and asking for the CNAME might at least
start things moving.
Though you're still short of a dev and www tarball by that stage, it
at least decouples the website from the BNSC login machine.
