If your organisation is using SharePoint, I'd like to invite you and your
colleagues to attend our upcoming workshop on 'SharePoint in the Public
Sector: Advanced Tools and Techniques', being held in Birmingham on 24th
November. The workshop is aimed at IT professionals in organisations with
mature SharePoint implementations who would like to learn advanced
techniques to make the most of their existing content, and use the less
well-known areas of SharePoint functionality.
There are limited places available so if you or any of your colleagues are
interested in attending, please follow the link below for more details and a
booking form: http://www.i-b-e.co.uk/Sharepoint+Birmingham+November+09
The workshop will describe the more advanced functionality of SharePoint
which will be illustrated with live examples. The following will be
discussed in detail:
* The SharePoint functionality 'pie' and what Microsoft claims it is and
what experienced practitioners believe it is
* Advanced XML configuration: features, site definitions and solutions
* Detailed metadata management: using InfoPath and the document information
panel
Workflows: creating bespoke workflows
* Advanced integration: business data catalogue
* Advanced web parts: creating dataviews
The workshop is being run by Marc Stephenson and Cerys Hearsey from
Metataxis who have considerable experience of designing, configuring and the
ongoing management of SharePoint within public sector organisations.
Due to the interactive nature of the workshop, attendance is strictly
limited to 30 delegates. Cost to attend is £225 + VAT per delegate, with
group prices offered (please see the registration form below for details).
