The School of Geosciences at the University of Sydney is seeking an
outstanding individual to provide strong and innovative leadership as
Professor and Head of School. The Head of School leads strategic
direction and operational aspects of the School as well as engagement
with industry and government agencies.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in geology, geography or
geophysics and a proven track record in successful administration and
staff management. Along with an outstanding and internationally
recognised record of research, you will have skills in building and
leading research teams and demonstrated success in attracting
competitive research funding and developing industry links.
The successful candidate will be appointed as either the Edgeworth David
Chair or the McCaughey Chair depending on area of specialisation.
