Thankyou to everyone who made comments on this topic I will now spend my
time looking up all the links you sent rather than being sad over
youngest child's first afternoon at nursery ;-)
I'm very glad to hear that drawing is a key tool in communicating and
explaining and in areas such as designing of equipment/experiments. I
think it also shows that "Science" encompasses such a wide range of
topics that sometimes it is good to be reminded or learn about what
everyone else is doing - it triggered so many different memories in me
of Immunology, Zebrafish and chromatography.
Great things have come from the "backs of envelopes" such as Lowry's
sketches which developed into paintings and I think it is intruiging
that someone whose work I enjoy, worked with such simple materials.
Thanks again
Kerynne Robertson
