The 10x8 proof took me six attempts to get right from the 4x5 neg (which
is a lot for an experienced printer) and it is one of those odd photos
which fail as a 75dpi jpeg. I scanned it three times to make sure. I
went back to 17th century Dutch still lifes and the beginning of
painting to pick up a few motifs. Chiaroscuro came along with these
motifs and this is beyond what a HP 2300C flat bed scanner can cope
with, it appears. So, no speckles.
Kaputar is the eastern border of Narrabri shire and part of the Nandewar
rhizome volcano (also known as the Nandewar Ranges) last active 20
million years ago and one of Australia's still potentially active
volcanoes, so I understand.
Hopefully I will live to see it erupt again???
Working intensely with visual images makes me illiterate, there were
other most interesting discussions I would have liked to comment on....
best Chris Jones. (Maybe later I can come back to them?)
