Dear Colleague - FOR SCOTTISH CIRCULATION
Do you have an interest or involvement in research and evidence around
ethnicity and mental health in Scotland?
Following the success of the first Ethnicity in Mind Seminar in March
2009, a further seminar has been planned looking at the theme of
participation in mental health and ethnicity research and considers
whether research can actually benefit BME communities. The seminar has
been organised by a mental health and ethnicity special interest group,
which has recently been formed in Scotland, aiming to create links
between individuals with an interest in mental health and ethnicity
research in Scotland to share knowledge, research and evidence in this
field.
The seminar will bring together a range of people with research and
practice interests in mental health and ethnicity across Scotland. We
have identified you as one of these people and would like to extend a
warm invitation to you to attend.
Date: Tuesday 27th October 9.30am-4.00pm
Venue: The Teacher Building, 14 St. Enoch Square, Glasgow
Please feel free to circulate the attached invitation and booking form
to other people you know are involved in research and/or practice in
this area. We very much hope you are able to attend - please use the
attached registration form to book your place. If you have any queries
about the seminar please contact Liz McEwan on 0141 572 0125 or email
[log in to unmask]
We hope to see you on 27th October.
Best wishes,
Neil Quinn and Dale Meller
