medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
There also are local and national Pantheons, like Santa Croce in
Florence (at least for Florentine figures). Or the original Pantheon
for Italian monarchists. The Savoy kigs are buried there. The focus is
more "patriotic" than purely religious. The crypt of St. Paul''s London
seems mostly to reflect military history. Nelson and Wellington are
there, plus plaques for World war II commanders.
