Hi Jill,
Further to Dominic's message you can find out more information about the change they made to their new pricing system in July 2008 at: http://www.rsna.org/RLGateway/Librarian_Services.htm
We don't seem to have had any direct communication from them about this pricing change either and haven't used the Highwire administrator route to make this communication.
Print is now an add on option and may not be purchased separately.
I believe from looking at the academic licence at: http://www.rsna.org/RLGateway/pdf/Academic.pdf that the former restriction on access no longer exists.
Cheers
Lesley

Hello Jill,
We don't take this title but your observation prompted me to check
EBSCONET, which also seems to link a print subscription to requiring an
e-licence (and there's no pricing information, either). This publisher
seems to have made a (muddled?) change of policy last year:
http://www.rsna.org/Publications/institutional.cfm
Perhaps there is no print only subscription format now, only print +
online?
Kind regards,
Dom

Subject: [LIS-E-RESOURCES] Radiology- licecne query
Dear Colleagues,
Has anyone else out there come across a rather perplexing problem with
the journal Radiology, published by the Radiological Society of America?
We have a print only sub to this title for the simple reason that their
e-licence requires us to limit access to 5 dedicated PCs in a single
building. Quite apart from the fact that we don't want to limit access
to 5 PCs, the way our network is set up, we can't agree to do this
anyway. When we told them that in view of their licence terms we would
just have to stick with print only, they came back to say we *had* to
sign the licence anyway or we could not even have the print. How can
this make sense? Since when have we needed an elicence for print? We
have reached an impasse so I would love to hear if anyone else has had
this problem, and better still, if you have found a workable solution!
Kind regards,
Jill Taylor-Roe
