As a leading UK university, York places significant emphasis on teaching quality
and views online learning as an important element of flexible approaches to
learning, teaching and assessment.
Working in the E-Learning Development Team, you will be assigned to one of
the three departmental subject groupings of the University, promoting the VLE
and related learning technologies to staff. You will also assist staff in the
design and delivery of blended and distance-learning programmes and
contribute to curriculum development and pedagogic support, acting as a
liaison between departments and central support services.
Educated to degree level or equivalent and with relevant work experience, you
will have a sound knowledge of pedagogy related to technology-enhanced
learning, experience of delivering learning technology training and support to
academic staff, and excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal
skills.
These are open ended posts, which may be combined to create one full-time
and one part-time post, or other such equivalent combination. Consideration
will also be given to a fixed-term secondment arrangement. Salary will be
within the range £28,839 to £35,469 per annum (reduced pro rata for part-
time working).
