Colleagues
We are considering setting up a taught post graduate bursary scheme
mainly to support those students who have been in receipt of an
undergraduate bursary. I am wondering if other universities have
already ventured into this territory? I would be interested to hear
about your experiences particularly with respect to the following:
How do you fund the bursaries?
What is the bursary value, is this on a needs based sliding scale?
How many bursaries do your offer?
How do you carry out a means assessment?
Are there any other criteria?
Do you award bursaries to offer holders with money available following
enrolment/registration?
Do you offer bursaries to students who studied at undergraduate level
elsewhere?
Sorry for the number of questions. Responses are really appreciated.
Many thanks
Catherine
