Dear Kate,
I have been involved in helping both teachers and technicians in this type
of exercise in several schools.
However, as a(n ex) teacher/HoD Project Manger etc I would humbly add one
not of caution.
Just uploading 'what we did before' ie mainly worksheets and research
exercises might not be the best approach. I strongly believe that the
'Virtual' bit of a VLE implies a widening of approaches to teaching and
learning. This therefore suggest that staff should be looking at how their
use of on-line resources will change their strategies BEFORE they start
uploading materials from possibly decades ago.
Kindest Regards and Best Wishes,

Subject: [VLES] Staff Engagement with VLE
*Apologies for cross-posting - I posted this elsewhere before realising that
this would be the better list*
We are currently looking at setting guidance on mimimum engagement with the
VLE for all courses - i.e. all courses must be on the VLE with a minimum
expectation of identified key content. Has anyone else done this and if so
would you be willing to share your guidelines with us?
Many thanks,
Kate Marshall
