Nominations to the Editorial Board of the journal
Sociology of Health & Illness
Vacancies on the Editorial Board of the journal Sociology of Health &
Illness will be determined by election at the Annual General Meeting of
the BSA Medical Sociology Group at the Conference at the University of
Manchester, on Friday 4th September 2009.
The Editorial Board meets twice a year, usually once at the Medical
Sociology Conference and once in London. We expect all Editorial Board
members to take an active role on the Board. This includes refereeing
articles throughout the year and contributing to the Board meetings,
which advise the Editors. Elected members serve a three year term, after
which they are eligible for re-election for one further term.
Please note that nominees do not need to be members of the British
Sociological Association.
Nominees should complete the following form and return it (preferably
electronically) by the method outlined below:
Person to be nominated for the Editorial Board:

..................................
E-mail address (for confirmation of receipt of nomination):

Candidate Statement
A brief (maximum one-page) statement highlighting the nominee's CV, key
publications and research interests must be attached to the nomination.
This will then be publicised in advance of the conference to provide
relevant information to voters.
This form should be emailed, by Friday 21st August to:
Professor Hilary Thomas (Chair of the Board)
