The Food and Environment Research Agency's role is to support and
develop a sustainable food chain, a healthy natural environment, and to
protect the community from biological and chemical risks. The Agency
employs over 700 scientists and experts and works with over 1000
partners in 102 countries world-wide.
The Risk Analysis Team at Fera specialises in the analysis of risk and
uncertainty relating to food, health and the environment. The Analyst
will contribute to research projects developing new approaches for
assessing risk using advanced statistical and computational methods.
This includes working with scientists to develop
statistical/mathematical models and contributing to scientific publications.
Experience of undertaking statistical analysis and applying statistical
models to complex data is essential. You will be qualified to at least
degree level in statistics, mathematics or an equivalent qualification,
or be able to demonstrate extensive experience of applied statistical
skills and techniques.
