Hi all,
Yesterday I downloaded and installed the Nanahope distribution for Mac
OS X. My system is an Intel machine (MacBook) running Mac OS X 10.5.8.
This morning I found out that python and ds9 are broken on my system.
The message on trying python in the terminal is:
dyld: Library not loaded:
/Applications/scisoft/i386/Packages/tcltk-8.4.19/lib/libtk8.4.dylib
Referenced from:
/Applications/scisoft/i386/Packages/Python-2.5.2/Python.framework/Versions/2.5/Resources/Python.app/Contents/MacOS/Python
Reason: Incompatible library version: Python requires version 8.4.0
or later, but libtk8.4.dylib provides version 0.0.0
Trace/BPT trap
Then I started trying randomly to see if anything else was broken, and
I got this message upon trying ds9:
dyld: Symbol not found: __cg_png_create_info_struct
Referenced from:
/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ImageIO.framework/Versions/A/ImageIO
Expected in: /star/lib/libPng.dylib
Has anyone else who uses starlink and scisoft in parallel seen this
kind of behaviour? Should I try a new install of the scisoft package?
I am not sure that it is even related to starlink, but this is my
first guess since the upgrade of starlink nov2008 to the new one is
the only significant change on my system since yesterday.
Any thoughts (beit solutions or mere suggestions) are welcome.
Cheers,
Matthijs
