Subject: Copyright cleared - some answers
Dear colleagues,
Many thanks to all those who replied to my query about sources of copyright-cleared copies from libraries other than the BL.
The main conclusions are:
If the British Library can't provide an item, the best alternative is ED/N-1, then CA/U-1 and OX/U-1.
ED/N-1, OX/U-1 - apply direct
CA/U-1 - apply to BLDSC for a Copyright cleared in the normal way but put SBL instead of S in the KEYWORDS box as well as COPYRT. Then put: "
Apply to CA/U-1" in the supplier notes field.
A number of other institutions are permitted to supply material copyright cleared, and I attach a list I received from Liverpool University and from Southampton University.
Best wishes,
Jenny
