Hi there,
I've been following the discussion with interest. I think I have come across
one of these "lava medallions" while working at Museum Africa, Johannesburg.
I was responsible for the geology collection and thought this item was
rather weird.
Please keep me informed on the topic. It would be great to learn more,
although I am not with Museum Africa anymore (now Council for Geoscience,
Pretoria).
Best wishes,
Ellen de Kock
