This may be an odd request but I was advised to try it!
I am a non-statistician but was an editor of a specialist medical journal
for over 10 years, and have a lot of experience in medical writing and
editing. I am also now on the editorial board of a basic science journal.
This journal accepts that medical statistical reporting is much better than
the standard of data presentation and statistical analysis (when needed) in
the material that it publishes as basic science, and it wishes to see an
improvement in the statistical standards of submitted articles. I'd like to
write some simple articles (very simple!) to use as a basis for this. I seek
the help of a pragmatic qualified statistician to provide moral support,
advice, and statistical firepower, in what is unlikely to be a big money
spinner but could potentially be fun and win fame.
Any volunteers?
