We've explored the possibility of getting a hosted service but with no
success so far. I had contact with someone from one institution last
year and as a personal favour hosted a pilot for them to try WebPA out.
I'm pleased to say they have now installed their own version locally.
Unfortunately I am no longer in a position to offer this so the only
thing I can say is to see if someone else *might* be in a position to
help. However, from what you say, it suggests this wouldn't be a 'trial'
for you so you really need to consider its long term use if you can't
get support from your institution. Perhaps keep badgering them? One way
might be to convince them of the benefits and I suppose this is where we
could then help, as we can all testify to its usefulness and I for one,
would be willing to visit to discuss it with your colleagues (perhaps a
seminar etc?).

I have been looking at webPA as an option for the course I teach on
which is
essentially based around peer assessment of group work. Unfortunately
there
is little if any chance of the application ever being hosted on my
University servers, I won't even waste my time trying to get this on
their
radar. Consequently I am seeking an alternative hosting opportunity and
wonder if any one can advise me?
I should say that while I am not completely IT illiterate I am not going
to
install the application my self since this is well beyond my personal
skill
level. I am sure though that somewhere this application has been hosted
independently just as ELG and MOODLE have been.
Can any one advise please?
