To add to the links provided on 29. June in that day's "saints of the day" (one of which was to a view that's a little clearer on the decoration surrounding the tondo of St. Paul), herewith two other views, taken from blogs but whose ultimate source is said to be _L'Osservatore Romano_, showing the cubicle ceiling on which the painting appears:

According to a relation by Barbara Mazzei of the Pontificia Commissione di Archeologia Sacra, published by _L'Osservatore Romano_ on 28. June (<http://tinyurl.com/nhpxdw>), there is such a tondo in each of the ceiling's four corners. Two are of younger, as yet unidentified saints and the fourth is of St. Peter.
According to Mazzei in a related interview published on 28. June by Radio Vaticana (<http://tinyurl.com/nta5oj>) the tondo of St. Paul was the first on which the restorers used a laser to remove calcareous buildup in order to get a good view of the image itself.
Best again,
John Dillon
