INSPIRE 2009
Conference on Statistics and Signal Processing
Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department,
Imperial College London, London, UK,
September 21-24, 2009
The first annual conference of INSPIRE, a network which aims to bring
together signal processing researchers with statisticians and
mathematicians working on problems related to data modelling and
estimation, to encourage the exchange of ideas as well as to discuss
theoretical underpinning of the methods and domains of application, will
be held September 21st to 24th 2009 in London. The conference will include
three plenary talks, special sessions on focused topics, a poster session
and tutorials. Professor Eric Moulines, Professor Zoubin Ghahramani and
Professor Martin Vetterli are the plenary speakers, and the sessions
include
Monte-Carlo: Methodology, with Simon Godsill, Ajay Jasra, Dan Crisan,
Gareth Roberts, Christophe Andrieu and Petros Dellaportas,
Statistical inference for nonstationary time series with Haeran Cho,
Yogesh Dwivedi, Piotr Kokoszka, Hernando Ombao and David Stoffer,
Probabilistic models: dynamic, graphical and latent variable models with
Matthias Seeger, Cedric Archamebau, Neil Lawrence, Maneesh Sahani
Inverse Problems with W. Lionheart and J. Aston
Sparse Sampling and Compressed Sensing with Li, V. Chaisinthop and Yaghoobi
Training Sessions: Monte Carlo methods: From independent to Markov chain
sampling. - Prof Petros Dellaportas
Sparse Sampling of Structured Information - Dr Pier Luigi Dragotti
The INSPIRE webpages http://www.network-inspire.org/ will take
registration by mid August 2009. For participants who are not speaking two
types of registration will be possible: firstly a very limited number of
rooms will be available at Imperial College Halls for non-contributing
speakers, secondly we also welcome attendants to the talks and training
sessions who do not require accommodation. There is no registration fee.
Kind regards,
Pier-Luigi and Sofia
