All,
I agree with James's comments below. We also used Campaign Monitor for a
while, for an internal email newsletter. We stopped after the local
branch of one our Unions strongly objected to (their words) "hidden web
bugs" in the email - ie the code that enables email opens / link clinks
to be analysed.
So if you're considering using it internally as well as externally, I'd
recommend a very clear notice that the system includes statistical
reporting functions.

Hi,
I also recommend Campaign Monitor, I've used it quite a lot here and
have found it to be a good solution. The major benefit is that you can
pay when you want to do a campaign (very reasonable cost) and not pay a
monthly rate (and usually extra payments when you want to change a
template) like some of the other solutions that I have tried or had a
demo of.

Hi
I can thoroughly recommend Campaign Monitor (www.campaignmonitor.com) as
an email newsletter solution. Pricing and features are all available on
the website.
Similar products include MailChimp (http://www.mailchimp.com/) and
Dotmailer
(http://www.dotmailer.co.uk/) - again I think prices are available on
their websites. You may be able to get academic/not- for- profit
discounts.
Hope that helps,
Lisa
