Hi, Brian,
I had imagined her being a him--and with lovely tall leather
boots--balletically twirling on the front doorstep of each house or flat,
making A Statement with his decisive positive response for all to witness.
Your precise describing without explanation confirms something I often think
while writing poems, and just as often decide not to do; namely, to write
sharp-detailed images and not much explanation, thus giving the reader more
scope and power to interpret what they've 'seen'. A balancing act, surely,
but worth the weighing.
Best,
Judy
