Undergraduate Dissertation Prize 2009
Call for outstanding urban geography undergraduate dissertations
This prestigious annual award (with a prize and online-publication on the UGRG website) is open to any currently-registered undergraduate student in a UK Department of Geography, Planning, Earth Sciences or Environmental Sciences. It is given to the author of the dissertation which, in the view of the judges, most clearly exhibits the originality of thought, quality of research and excellence in presentation for which urban geographers are renowned. No substantive area of urban geography is excluded from consideration. We welcome submissions which address any aspect of the social, cultural, economic or political life of cities. Additionally, dissertations may be based on secondary (archival) or primary data, addressing urban issues via a contemporary or historical focus.
It is customary for Dissertation Tutors or Heads of Departments to nominate outstanding urban geography dissertations for this prize. Please send an (unmarked) copy of the dissertation you would wish to be considered to:
